How To Stop Spam Bot From Google AppEngine

Recently, there are many Google AppEngine developers using that free programs to spam the world. I don’t know how many bloggers have been affected by this kind of spam. However, based on several webmaster forums, there must be million people have been affected, but only a few people who are really aware with this issue. What did irresponsible AppEngine developers used to do? They used to hijack our blog or website. It’s so safe because banning Appspot.com IP Addresses could be a great disaster considering that Googlebot and Adsense bot IPs recycled from time to time. More over, blocking them based on the referrer is barely useless. Many people have tried this trick both from .htacces and php script but they have no luck.

Then how to stop spam bot from Google AppEngine? Just install ZB Block php script to your server and you’re done! Here’s the additional tips.

1. Download ZB Block from spambotsecurity.com or download directly from here.
2. Extract the file then upload to the domain’s root. (for example: http://yoursitecom/zbblock/)
3. Run the setup from http://yoursitecom/zbblock/setup.php)
4. Follow the setup and you’re done.

Well, I think that’s all the easiest way how to stop spam bot from google appengine (appspot.com). Hopefully it works for you.

PS: I am in purpose to write this issue because some of my sites have been ruined by appspot spammer. :( And I need to make it as an archive for my self. Besides, I believe some of you facing the similar problem. :lol:
